What is Impact factor : Impact factor (IF) of the journal is commonly used to evaluate the relative importance of a journal within its field. What is Citation : A citation in a research paper is a reference to a source that has been used in the paper. It helps the readers to identify the Original source of information that is referred to in a work. A citation provides information about the source to help the reader locate the original material and to give credit to the author or creator of the source. What it includes:  Citations typically include the author's name, the title of the source, the date of publication specially year, and other identifying information such as the name of the publisher, volume and issue numbers, and page numbers.  Example :   N.
