Greetings from IEEE Region 10 Ad hoc Committee on Outreach and Retention.
The committee is coming out with a new Initiative of R10 Hackathon.
IEEE SSH 2024, a collaborative initiative by IEEE Region 10 and IEEE India Council, is coming up with the premier student-led competition/Hackathon aimed at providing a prestigious platform for tech enthusiasts across the sections of Asia and the Pacific, emerges as a beacon for innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
IEEE SSH 2024 is to create an Outstanding Digital Environment for the young generation so that they generate employment and provide opportunities in future, rather than waiting to grab them. It equips the learners with 21st century skills. 'Growth and inventions are perennial and so is modernization'.

-Education:
Address challenges in the education sector, fostering solutions for improved learning experiences and innovative educational platforms.
-Health Care:

-AR/VR (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality):

-Green Energy:
Focus on challenges related to green and renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices in the energy sector.

Dive into the world of blockchain technology, addressing challenges and exploring applications in finance, supply chain, and beyond.
-Open Innovation:
Encourage participants to think innovatively, fostering open collaboration and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
-Generative AI:
We encourage participants to proposed solutions by using the concept of generative AI for the larger benefit of the society.
IEEE SSH-2024 Structure: IEEE SSH-2024 is conducted in two phases:
Phase 1 Virtual: 28th -29th September 2024 (24 hours at IEEE Student Branch/ Registered College)
· 2000+ Participants from all sections of IEEE Region 10 will engage and will exhibit their creativity and problem-solving skills for 24 Hours.
· The participants will showcase their analytical and problem solving skills on CodeTantra Platform for 24 Hrs on 28th-29th September 2024.
· The Participants will select the track and the one problem from each track while registration. They shall work on the challenge given at registered SB for 24 hours
· The participants will submit the presentation on the proposed solution on the chosen problem ( the template of the presentation will be provide ) and 60 second short video on the solution developed on Platform provided.
· Short listing: The 50 teams will be shortlisted on the basis of the performance in round one and two.
Phase 2 Offline: 20th-21st October 2024 at KIEt Delhi NCR
Day 1
· The shortlisted 50 teams shall move on to the final round and report on 20th October 2024 at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. They shall develop and demonstrate the solution of the problem chosen from the particular track.
· Interaction with Track Mentors: Teams engage with experienced mentors for guidance.
· Fun Events: Infuse the Codeathon spirit with entertaining and collaborative activities.
Day 2:
· Second Submission: Teams refine and submit their projects on the basis of feedback from mentors on daya-1
· Second Mentorship Call: Additional mentorship to enhance projects.
· Discord Interaction: Teams connect on Discord for real-time collaboration.
· Final Submission and Presentation of the solution to Judges
Prize Money:
