IEEE TALE is the IEEE Education Society’s flagship Asia-Pacific conference series, catering to researchers and practitioners with an interest in engineering, technology, and integrated STEM education as well as those interested in the innovative use of digital technologies for learning, teaching, and assessment in any discipline. The conference target audience is diverse and includes those working in the higher education, vocational education and training (VET), K-12, corporate, government, and healthcare sectors.
All accepted peer-reviewed papers presented at TALE conferences will be published in the conference proceedings and will also be submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
TALE is held in December each year in the Asia-Pacific region (IEEE Region 10), complementing the other events in the IEEE Education Society’s suite of conference offerings, including Frontiers in Education in North America (IEEE Regions 1–7), EDUCON in Europe/Middle East/Africa (IEEE Region 8), EDUNINE in Latin America (IEEE Region 9) and LWMOOCS focused in MOOCs worldwide.

The conference is organized jointly by the IEEE Education Society, IEEE Region 10, IEEE Bangalore Section, IEEE Education Society Bangalore Chapter, and Manipal Institute of Technology.
It aims to provide a forum for scholars and practitioners to share their knowledge and experience in engineering and technology education, as well as in technology-enabled educational innovation across a variety of academic and professional disciplines. The target audience of the conference is diverse and includes those working in the higher education, vocational education and training (VET), K-12, corporate, government and healthcare sectors.
Interested in hosting a future TALE conference?
The
IEEE TALE Steering Committee is currently seeking proposals from
institutions to organize and host the TALE 2025, 2026 and 2027
conferences. In the first instance, prospective organizers/hosts should
contact the Steering Committee Chair, Manuel Castro, at mcastro@ieec.uned.es to
express an interest and to obtain a copy of the pro forma for
proposals. The deadline for the receipt of proposals to host TALE 2025,
TALE 2026, and 2027 is 15 May 2024, and applicants will be notified once
the IEEE TALE Steering Committee makes the choice from the bids.
