Welcome to the ISGT PES IEEE Latin America 2025 Conference!

IEEE PES ISGT Latin America 2025 will take place in Panama City, Panama, from September 16 to 19, 2025, at the Hotel Marriott Panama, Albrook. This event will bring together energy sector experts, researchers, academics, and professionals from around the world to discuss the transformation of the electrical system through smart technologies, energy storage, and digitalization.

Conference Theme

“Redefining Energy: Smart, Renewable & Connected”

The energy industry is rapidly evolving towards a smarter and more sustainable infrastructure. ISGT 2025 will explore advancements in smart grids, renewable integration, energy storage, and regulations to enable an efficient and reliable energy system.


The 2025 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Latin America (IEEE PES ISGT-Latam 2025) is a premier conference hosted by the Power and Energy Society in collaboration with the IEEE Panama Section. This prestigious event offers a unique platform for participants from both academia and industry worldwide to come together and share their insights. It also serves as a valuable opportunity for students engaged in various fields related to innovation in smart grid technologies. Attendees can look forward to an array of selected papers, thought-provoking keynote speeches, dynamic special sessions, and engaging panel discussions. In addition to the academic and professional sessions, the conference will feature a technical fair and special social events designed to create an unforgettable experience for all participants. This year's edition will take place at the Marriott Albrook Hotel in Panama City, Panama from September, 16th - 20th, 2025.

The IEEE PES ISGT-Latam 2025 with the slogan REDEFINING ENERGY: Smart, Renewable & Connected will explore the transformation of power grids through renewable integration, storage, and digital innovation. The organizing committee invites researchers and professionals to submit papers to the following tracks of the conferences:

  • Smart grid technologies, tools, and applications
  • Clean energy transition
  • Protection, resilience, and reliability
  • Smart grid policy, regulation, and standards
  • Industry applications, and case studies

Important dates are:

  • Opening call for paper: February 21, 2025
  • Full paper submission date: June 30, 2025
  • Notification of acceptance date: August 1, 2025
  • Final paper submission date: September 1, 2025

    • Oral presentation
      • Each presenter has 15 minutes and a short Q&A session (~3 minutes) to present his findings; Prepare your presentation (PowerPoint or PDF exclusively) before the conference using the mandatory template;
      • Please go to your session room 30 minutes before your session to meet the chairman and upload your file on the computer. Check that everything looks good before your talk.
  • Paper Format:
    • Papers must be written in English, unpublished, and not submitted elsewhere.
    • IEEE format required. (Paper style adjustment according to the IEEE template)
    • Maximum 6 pages, including illustrations and references.
    • PDF eXpress verification required.
    • Copyright agreement signature.
    • IEEE “No Show” Policy (Accepted papers must be presented to be included in IEEE Xplore).

At this stage it is needed to adjust the paper style according to the IEEE format. Those papers using the LaTeX sources, must replace the phrase Index Terms with Keywords. Likewise, be attentive to the information of the authors and affiliations. Additionally, the Copyright notice must be included in the document. Papers must not exceed six pages in length. Ignore the header, and please do not number your pages.

21st edition of INDICon 2024
