The 20th Annual IEEE International Systems Conference
The Annual IEEE International Systems Conference (SYSCON) is the flagship conference of the Systems Council and the premier North American systems engineering conference and provides an interactive forum for advancement across various disciplines.
The IEEE Systems Council facilitates interactions among communities of interest on system-level problems and applications. System-level thinking is essential in the world today, not only for technical systems, but also for society at large.
Dear Colleagues, The Student Track Paper Deadline has been extended to January 25, 2026 for the 20th Annual IEEE International Systems Conference (SYSCON 2026). We welcome participation from the Systems Council Chapters.Submit HereSYSCON invites undergraduate and graduate students working in or interested in systems engineering to present their innovative research at the 2026 conference. Students may choose from one of the following submission options:Option 1: In-Person Poster Track
- Submit a 2-page extended abstract
- Accepted students will present posters onsite at SYSCON
- At least one author per paper must register to present the poster. There will be a special registration rate of $400 for student poster authors.
- Extended abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore
- Submit a 250–350 word abstract
- Accepted students will present virtually via Zoom during SYSCON 2026
- Registration fee is $25, which includes a 1-year complimentary IEEE membership
- Abstracts will not be published
The IEEE International Systems Conference (SysCon) 2026 is set to take place at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This premier event will bring together systems engineering professionals and researchers to explore the latest advancements in system-level design, integration, and management. Located along the scenic Halifax waterfront, the venue offers modern amenities, including spacious meeting facilities, on-site dining, and easy access to the city's historic sites and vibrant culture. Attendees can look forward to engaging technical sessions, networking opportunities, and the chance to experience the maritime charm of Halifax. Check-in at the hotel begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
