Dear Distinguished Academicians, Researchers, and Industry Practitioners,

Greetings from the Green Energy & Sustainability Hub (GESH), IIT Bombay, Kotak School of Sustainability (KSS), IIT Kanpur, and Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV) .

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite the submission of original and unpublished research contributions for presentation at SANKET 2026 – the International Conference on Sustainable Technologies and Knowledge Systems (“Sustainability through Ancient Knowledge & Emerging Technologies”), to be held at IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai, from 4th to 5th December 2026.

SANKET 2026 aims to provide a distinguished forum for researchers, academicians, and industry practitioners to present and discuss state-of-the-art developments, emerging trends, innovative solutions, and ancient knowledge systems for sustainability. The conference is jointly organized by the Green Energy & Sustainability Hub (GESH), IIT BombayKotak School of Sustainability (KSS), IIT Kanpur, and Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV), in association with NIT Warangal and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), with a Technical Co-Sponsorship from IEEE IAS society, IEEE Maharashtra Section, IEEE Hyderabad Section IAS/PES/PEL Joint Chapter, IEEE Hyderabad Section SSIT Chapter, IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section SSIT Chapter.

Paper Submission: Submissions are managed through Microsoft CMT.

Paper Format: Papers must be prepared using the standard IEEE conference paper template (Microsoft Word or LaTeX).

Proceedings Publication: Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for conference publication and, subject to final IEEE CEE approval (currently pending) and IEEE’s publication scope and quality review, considered for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

 

SANKET 2026 invites original and unpublished research papers across four themes, spanning 22+ subthemes, including but not limited to:

Track #2 — Energy: Solar & Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Grids & Microgrids, Power Converters for Renewables & EVs, Green Fuels, Energy Storage Systems, Sustainable Construction Materials, Disaster-Resilient Infrastructure, AI/ML & IKS Applications for Energy

Track #3 — Waste Management: Circular Economy & Resource Recovery, Plastic & E-Waste Management, Smart Waste Systems, Solid Waste Management, Waste-to-Wealth Technologies, Sustainable & Circular Textiles

Track #4 — Climate: Climate Change Impact Assessment, Climate Variability Study, Environmental Impact Assessment, CCUS & CDR, Climate Policies, AI/ML & IKS Applications for Climate Sustainability

 Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV) stands as a model of sustainable living in India, recognized by prestigious international bodies, including the United Nations. GEV is accredited to United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the UN Council for Biodiversity (UNCBD), the UN Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). It has also received numerous national and international awards, including the United Nations WTO award.
This model community not only implements green initiatives within its campus but also collaborates with neighbouring indigenous villages for their sustainable development. Govardhan EcoVillage’s aim is to empower individuals through experiential learning, indigenous wisdom integration, and innovative green technologies to become stewards of Earth while honouring timeless spiritual values
